DESCRIPTION:Join us for Art for Lunch on November 6 from 11AM – 1PM to create custom FREE postcards to send to your neighbors\, family\, or friends. Bring your lunch and let your creative juices flow! \n“HELLO CLARKSVILLE”–The Neighborhood Postcard Project is an art initiative to encourage playful\, spontaneous community connections through simple handmade postcards. The postcards are sent to random mailing addresses\, a collection of positive messages and inspiration to build sense of community. \nKids 6 and over are welcome to participate. We encourage you to bring addresses of someone you would like to send a card to. Don’t know anyone? No problem\, we have a list of people that have requested postcards too! \nThe Postcard project was originally introduced by artist Hunter Franks. Franks\, an artist and founder of the Neighborhood Postcard Project uses people as his medium to break down barriers and make neighborhoods more neighborly. It’s simple\, really. He invites people to come together and they create amateur art to encourage connections among people in communities.\nThe project is an initiative of Arts for Hearts Clarksville\, a program under the Arts and Heritage Development Council. www.artsforheartsclarksville.org.

DESCRIPTION:Arts for Hearts Clarksville presents: ITS COOL TO BE KIND- BACK TO SCHOOL POP UP ART STUDIO @ the Downtown Commons on August 7\, 2018 from 5:30-7:30 PM. The art event is open to all school age kids and their families.\n\n\n \n\n\nGoing back to school is a great time to remember how important it is to be kind to each other. So Arts for Hearts Volunteers will be on hand to help you paint a “Kindness Heart.” The Kindness Hearts are hand made from clay. Participants will paint the hearts and be encouraged to write a positive note to attach to their heart to be shared with a friend or classmate to brighten their day.

SUMMARY:Rock Your Summer with Kindness
DESCRIPTION:FREE PROJECT\nArts for Hearts Clarksville and the Kindness Rock Project will be rockin’ at the Downtown Commons during “Rock your Summer with Kindness” on the May 22\, June 26 & July 24th from 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm. All supplies provided. Wear painting clothes. This event is for ages 6 and up. \nPainting rocks is no longer a last-resort craft for bored kids. It’s a full-force kindness movement taking the entire nation by storm. The idea is simple. Participants paint art and inspirational messages on rocks and then hide them somewhere in their community. When an unsuspecting person stumbles upon the rock art\, then they are encouraged to hide it in a new spot or keep it and paint a rock of their own to contribute to the Kindness Rock movement. The ultimate goal is brighten someone’s day with their find\, a small token of kindness meant to be paid forward.
